Experience at the University of Gävle

Over the course of two weeks, the PhD candidates attended academic sessions, visited Alleima (the second-largest manufacturing facility in Sweden), and explored the historic city of Uppsala, home to the oldest university in Scandinavia.

The training was also a cultural immersion: participants experienced Sweden’s strong connection with nature, its passion for outdoor activities, and its vision of sustainability — themes that resonated closely with the PhD program’s discussions on digitalization and environmental challenges. 

The team at Högskolan i Gävle welcomed the PhD candidates with two weeks full of learning and inspiration. This stage was also an opportunity to strengthen the international community of young researchers within TECSKILL, including both those who have been part of the project from the very beginning and those who joined along the way.

The 4th transnational training of the TECSKILL project took place at Högskolan i Gävle from June 1st to 15th, 2025 and concluded with the certificate ceremony.
